the two types of mask straps made by Liquid SCUBA

When it comes to SCUBA mask straps, there are two main types: full replacement (attaches to your mask with velcro replacing your silicon strap) and thread-through (uses your existing silicon strap which threads through the neoprene scuba mask strap). To keep things simple, we refer to them as such. You might also hear them called mask tamers or slap straps.

Embroidery: What works best?

Our mask tamers are embroidered, not printed, ensuring long-lasting quality. However, intricate details may not translate perfectly due to the nature of neoprene. Since the material isn’t flat like traditional fabric, very fine edges can get slightly absorbed. We at Liquid SCUBA try our best to make your products to stand out as best as we can.

Font & letter size recommendations

Did you know the fear of long words is called Hippopotomonstrosesquippedaliophobia? Well, your mask strap shares that fear! Keeping text short and clear ensures the best embroidery results. Smaller fonts can become less legible, so be mindful when selecting your wording.

We work hard to get your personalized SCUBA gear to you as fast as possible, but since each item is custom-made, please allow up to three weeks for dispatch.
